| 5k Course A fast and flat 5K (3.1 miles) TAC-certified course on Sparta’s neighborhood paved streets. Starting line and finish line in back of Sparta High School. Course timed for one hour. Bring the whole family! Strollers and dogs on leashes welcome but required to start at the end of line for the safety of all. (Dog owners – please pick up after your pets.) ChampionChip Timing System Timing by Classic Race Management using the ChampionChip Electronic Timing System. The Chip (attached to your shoe) interacts with a sensor mat placed at the finish to record race participant’s exact time and place. Participants are required to return their Chip following the event to avoid a $40 Chip fee. No Chip = No Time. Instructions available upon check-in.
